Every year on April 18th, ICOMOS (International Council of Monuments & Sites) celebrates the World Heritage Day, whose establishment was approved by the 22nd UNESCO General Conference in 1983.

In 2017, the theme is “Cultural Heritage & Sustainable Tourism”.

ICOMOS chose Le Prince Haveli to be part of this World Heritage Day.

On April 18th, visitors came to Le Prince Haveli to discover our 3-months restoration work on the frescoes with The Shekhawati Project international team !

A conference was given by Cécile Charpentier (Project Manager) and the restoration students, Léa Krief & Harpreet Tanday, alongside with an evening buffet.

We are very grateful to ICOMOS and UNESCO for supporting our project. They are allowing us to raise awareness about the concerning situation of monuments in

it an echo for saving further monuments in Shekhawati !
